STEM competition was held in Poti

Within the framework of the ongoing partnership project “STEM Generation” with the facilitation of the Global Compact Network Georgia, , STEM competition was held In Poti impemented by beleive foundation . The competition was aimed at s to arouse the interest of young people living in Poti in the fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and to develop creative thinking skills.
The topics of the competition included the following areas: support for people with disabilities; Environmental protection and access to education. The teams participating in the competition should select one specific problem and present to a special jury practical ways to solve this problem using STEM.
The winning idea of ​​the competition became “Alarm Clock” – an adapted watch, the bracelet of which will act as an alarm clock for people with hearing impairments through vibration.
Representatives of various innovation-oriented businesses and non-governmental organizations were involved in the evaluation of the contestants. Special certificates were awarded to all participants of the project, and the companies that received the final 3 teams of the project were awarded symbolic prizes by the companies:
