Salome Zurabishvili founded and has been heading the Local Network of the UN Global Compact initiative in Georgia since February 2016. She also serves as the Chair for the Regional Network Council for Eastern Europe and as a Member of the Global Network Council at the United Nations Global Compact. Salome is a Human Rights Lawyer with substantive academic knowledge and experience in the field of corporate sustainability. Her professional experience counts eleven years in the NGO, INGO, Public and Academic Sectors. Salome is a winner of Forbes Georgia 30 under 30, Class of 2020. She is a Swedish Institute Visby Programme Alumnus and holds Master’s Degree from Lund University, Sweden in International Human Rights Law and Labour Rights. Salome is the European Parliament’s Sakharov Fellow.
Senior Manager, Projects and Fundraising
Bakur Kvaratskhelia joined the organization in September 2020. Prior to that, he worked as a Deputy Environmental Ombudsman. Bakur has experience of working in diplomatic service, as a public servant, and in international organizations. He has previously worked at Georgian embassies in Estonia and India, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, and the Agency of Protected Areas of Georgia.
Bakur is an alumnus of several US government-funded exchange programs. Within the frame of the Fulbright Graduate Exchange program, he studied international relations at New York University.
Senior Manager, Government Relations and Educational Programs
Lana Chkhartishvili is a Senior Manager at Global Compact Network Georgia, leading Government Relations and Educational Programs with GCNG Team since January 2020. Prior to that, Lana headed the cabinet of the First Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia engaged in institutional reform initiatives in the legislative branch of Georgia. With more than 15 years of professional experience Lana has worked in both Public and Private sectors, international and donor communities CSO’s and Academic Institutions. At GCNG Lana is running the Corporate Sustainability Academy and awareness raising, advocating Corporate Sustainability Values, promoting Sustainable Development Goals through Agenda 2030 and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, integrating them into policy documents of Government of Georgia, partnering with businesses and civil society on Corporate Sustainability topic and promoting Business for SDG’s worldwide.
In 2003 US State Department Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs granted Lana one year FLEX academic scholarship, where she graduated from US High School in 2004 and received US Highs School Diploma. Same year Lana applied for BA degree in Law which she completed in 2008. In 2009 she applied for MA degree at Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), which she graduated in 2011 receiving LLM in International Business Law. As a PhD candidate Lana is working on her thesis at Ilia State University expected to receive PhD degree in 2024.
Senior Manager, Sustainability and Partnerships
Nino Kvantrishvili is a strategic and corporate sustainability communications professional with up to 17 years’ of working experience.
Nino is a Senior Manager of Sustainability and Partnerships at the Global Compact Network Georgia. Before she served as the Head of Strategic Communications and Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Defence of Georgia (2019-2020). With extensive experience in international development, for up to seven years she worked at the Embassy of Georgia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands (2011-2014; 2016-2019) and Parliament of Georgia as the Head of PR and Civil Actions Planning Division, (2015-2017).
Nino is highly skilled in Corporate Sustainability, Strategic Communications Planning, Sustainability Reporting and Public-Private Partnerships; Community Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement; Media Management; Event Management; Research and Analysis.
With B.A. in TV Journalism from Tbilisi State University (2001-2005), Nino pursued her graduate studies in Communications at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (M.A. in Media Communications and Management, 2006-2008) and as Stan Storeman’s Scholarship fellow at Webster University Leiden (M.A. in Media Communications, 2012-2013).
Senior Manager, Business Relations
Rati Zautashvili joined our team in 2020. He has a higher education in business management. With 12 years of working experience, Rati has implemented dozens of international and local projects in both the private and public sectors. He is now actively working to support and integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the business sector, which will help develop corporate sustainability in Georgia.
Business Relations Manager, Labour Rights Consultant
Sopho joined Global Compact Network Georgia in 2019 serving as a Business Relations Manager and Labour Rights Consultant. She has 12 years of experience working as an independent lawyer in the public and private sectors.
Sopho has higher education in law and is a doctoral student in public administration. She published several studies and is the author of international publications. Sopho is a member of the Georgian Bar Association and Human Rights and International Law Committee member of the same association.
Senior Manager, Finances
Temur Tkeshelashvili joined Global Compact Network Georgia in September 2021, serving as a Senior Manager in Finances. He has 10 years of experience working for international and private local companies. Before working at GCNG, Temo was the Financial Auditor of the International Audit Company, BDO’s Georgia Office. After graduating from Komarov Physics and Mathematics School in 2008, Temo continued his studies at Caucasus University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in financial auditing.
Ana Dgebuadze has been working as an Administrative and Procurement Manager since 2020.
She is graduated from I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Law with a Bachelor’s degree and she has a MA degree in Private Law from Caucasus International University.
Ana has been working as in the public and also in private sectors since 2011. Including the Central Election Commission of Georgia and several law companies in the legal and administrative fields. She has also worked in the private business in the field of tourism, where she has been involved in many local and international projects.
Senior Manager, Eco-innovation and Sustainability
Salome Khachiauri-Soltau has joined Global Compact Network Georgia in September 2021, serving as a Senior Manager in Eco-innovation and Sustainability. Salome has 8 years of experience in the innovation and environmental protection field. Salome served as the Head of the Department of Innovation and Commercialization at Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency, under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. Since April 2019 Salome was the Manager of the “Technology Transfer Pilot Project” (TTPP) funded by the European Union and implemented with the technical assistance of the World Bank, aiming at the commercialization of scientific research into businesses. In 2019-2020 Salome worked as a Project Leader at Stockholm-based foundation – “Entrepreneurs Without Borders”. Salome also worked in the Department of Environmental Policy and International Relations, at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia.
Salome holds a master’s degree in “International Human Rights Law and International Intellectual Property Law” from Lund University and a bachelor’s degree in Law from Caucasus University. In addition, Salome is an alumna of the Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Leadership program – BALTICLEAD in 2018, funded by the Swedish Institute.
Nino Liparteliani joined the GCNG in July 2021. Despite the fact that Nino is the youngest employee, she has an amalgam of experience working in various fields – she was voluntarily involved in the activities of the Georgian Red Cross Association and, in addition, has 3 years of experience working on legal issues. Nino, with her experience, attitude, and dedication, soon became an indispensable member of our team – she is actively involved in several project activities simultaneously. Nino is a fourth-year law student at the Georgian American University (GAU) and will continue her MA studies at the GBSB Global Business School in Barcelona from September.
Digital Communication Manager
Tsotne Vanishvili joined the Global Compact Network Georgia at the latest, in February 2022, serving as Digital Communications Manager. He has several years of experience working in NGOs. Tsotne was an intern at Transparency International Georgia and worked as a junior analyst at Georgia’s Reforms Associates (GRASS). Tsotne has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations (Tbilisi State University) And intends to continue his studies in the same field
