The General Meeting of the Global Compact Network Georgia

The second General Meeting of the Global Compact Network Georgia (GCNG) was held on Friday, June 8, at the Hotel “Rooms Tbilisi”.

The Secretariat of the GCNG, presented the new Governance Structure of the Network, reviewed the implemented activities by the Local Network and new developments in the initiative on the global level.

In the framework of the General Meeting, the composition of the Board was renewed. According to the Governance Structure, the election of the Board shall happen every 2 years, and only one-third of the members are changed per election term. The members of the Network elected two new members of the Board – Corporate Communications Director of the GPI Holding – Tinatin Stambolishvili and the Head of Communications and CSR at APM Terminals Poti – Mari Nadaraia.

The members discussed the action plan of the Network for the next year, identified the priority areas for the next year and discussed engagement opportunities.

The activities implemented by Civil Development Agency (CiDA) with regard to corporate social responsibility are supported by East-West Management Institute’s (EWMI) ACCESS project through USAID funding.
