Business companies have joined the principles of empowerment of people with disabilities

15 business companies signed the principles of empowerment of persons with disabilities, expressing readiness to promote their integration into society and support their career advancement. 

according to the principles of empowerment of persons with disabilities, signatory companies agree on the following issues: 

  1. A public statement by the company’s executive body on the policy-supporting approach to empowering people with disabilities. 
  1. Access to employment for persons with disabilities. 
  1. Provide training and career advancement opportunities for persons with disabilities 
  1. Creating a decent and safe work environment for people with disabilities 
  1. Adapting the company’s services and products to the needs of people with disabilities. 
  1. Empower people with disabilities in the market by supporting their entrepreneurial activities and integrating them into the company’s value chain. 
  1. Promoting the education of people with disabilities. 
  1. Promoting the visibility of persons with disabilities in the community. 

A discussion was held at the event about the problems faced by people with disabilities, wheelchair fencer, world champion Irma Khetsuriani spoke about her experience.
